This original Plein Air painting was created in Campobello Island in Oils. After drying time it was then "inked" by the artist in her studio. While painting this typical maritime seascape the artist was particularly cognizant of the bright lighting effects on the water's surface reflecting a nearly overcast sky on a warm June day. This created mirrored surfaces which contrasted well with the surrounding darkness of wet rocks and dense foliage. Later that June day, the fog began to roll in over the far mountains.
