An ice storm was raging outside, my Studio while creating this 20x14” Multimedia (collage and inks) painting in the technical style of Deb Weiers. I’ve called the painting “The Dawning”.... Slowly, the Gravity of it All Became Apparent. There always seems to be a kernel of reality in the art work that is created without photo reference based on the artist’s whim of the moment. Working with colored inks in transparent mixtures with water, is both messy and results can be somewhat fortuitous. The creative work here also consists of “reading” the emotion/ message portrayed from both the face and available cues in the background once this has been rendered. The words/meaning are then added to the picture. In this case it took me some time to figure it out because overall design elements competed in strength with rendered mood/expression. #RenateArt #BackBayArt #PaintWithMeFridays
