This painting was created to music as an exercise in meditative creativity. This project was inspired by an online group for healing arts called Lifebook where weekly tutorials or creative exercises are demonstrated and shared by artists across the globe. Watermedia used were acrylics, inktense pens, and Posca Markers. The figure emerged as fairly random marks are produced with pens impulsively and the resulting patterns are inspected by turning the painting in all directions and enhanced with dark and light color shapes. One a figure is found, it then continues to be “carved” with paints and embellishments. The artist works impulsively and loosely according to the mood of the momentary vision.
