This painting was painted en Plein i.e. on a sunny summer's day in August at Ingall's Head in Grand Manan Island on the Bay of Fundy. Started painting at high tide and within a couple of hours the water had disappeared entirely to leave fertile mud flats. Bright orange seaweed decorated the rocks and wildflowers lined the grass/gravel line.
